“It’s funny: I always imagined when I was a kid that adults had some kind of inner toolbox full of shiny tools: the saw of discernment, the hammer of wisdom, the sandpaper of patience. But then when I grew up I found that life handed you these rusty bent old tools – friendships, prayer, conscience, honesty – and said ‘do the best you can with these, they will have to do’. And mostly, against all odds, they do.”

Journey alongside me as I learn more about God’s creation and my role in it! For one year I will be living in Argentina as a volunteer with the Young Adults in Global Mission program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The majority of my day is spent volunteering with a non-profit human rights organization that works with rural campesinos. I also assist in any way I can with a local lutheran church and am a live-in community builder at a university women’s house connected to the church. Essentially, I work and live with the coolest people ever. it’s a pretty awesome gig.
